摘要：
Growth on the Au(110)(2 x 1) surface is studied. The growth modes are identified versus temperature and a (1 x 1) reconstruction is obtained at low temperature after deposition of 1/2 monolayer. The role of steps in the (2 x 1) (missing row) domain formation after up-quench is investigated.
