摘要
The significance of reverse transfer of technology (RTT), i.e. technological services supplied by developing nations, is described. This reverse flow is a new feature which has hardly been investigated. Given the vital role that technology plays for the well-being of any nation, RTT is important and should be investigated further. A literature study is reported and examples of RTT projects are given. Efforts so far are described, as well as (psychological) barriers to the wider application of RTT. Results of field research in The Netherlands on the attitudes of potential customers and on the current situation in selected branches are reported. In this first exploration of the RTT field, no statistical data are given. In the author's view, it is desirable that the study should inspire others to conduct more detailed investigations. Both developing and industrialised nations will benefit from a better insight.
