Fluorescence decay of laser-excited organic molecules

摘要
Fluorescence decay curves of some organic scintillator and dye molecules have been measured at different excitation intensities delivered by a mode-locked frequency-doubled ruby laser. For the higher excitation intensities a characteristic nonexponential decay and considerable decay time shortening due to stimulated emmission has been observed as predicted by theory.
