摘要
The sorption coefficient of amorphous oxygenated cadmium telluride thin films (a-CdTe:O), grown by a reactive RF sputtering technique, was determined from optical transmission data measured as a function of photon energy in the temperature range of 15-300K. It is found that in the measured energy range the absorption coefficient increases as the temperature decreases. This behaviour can be explained considering contributions from both the acoustic phonons and electron-phonon interaction term to the absorption coefficient. In particular, the former contribution dominates the observed behaviour at lower temperatures, this is probably due to the presence of Te-Te chains in the disordered material.
