摘要
Expression of human epidermal growth factor could not be sustained in single-stage chemostats for even one residence time. Selection for low producing variants was observed in which alterations to both the host and plasmid were detected. Continuous expression of hEGF was demonstrated in two-stage chemostats by separating growth and product formation.
