17-KEV NEUTRINO, SOLAR-NEUTRINO PUZZLE, AND SUPERNOVA 1987A

摘要
We present a model of the 17-keV neutrino which naturally admits Mikheyev-Smirnov-Wolfenstein oscillations of nu(e) and nu(mu) in the Sun, while avoiding forbidden nu(tau)-nu(tau)BAR oscillations. Alternatively, the large mixing angle needed for vacuum oscillations to reduce the solar nu(e) flux can be explained, in which case the nu(e) mass might naturally be close to its laboratory limit. The model is consistent with all known laboratory, cosmological, and astrophysical constraints, including the supernova bound on Dirac neutrino masses.
