NUCLEAR MAGNETIC-RESONANCE STUDY OF THE SOLUTION CONFORMATION OF ADENINE MONO-NUCLEOTIDES USING THE LANTHANIDE PROBE METHOD

摘要
The use of lanthanide ions as NMR shift and relaxation probes has enabled the determination of the conformations of adenosine 2′-monophosphate and adenosine 3′-monophosphate in aqueous solution. These nucleotides are much more flexible than the corresponding 5′-mononucleotide. The interpretation of the lanthanide data, based on mixing different conformations in fast exchange within the NMR time scale, agrees well with conformational evidence for the metal-free systems, obtained from independent NMR methods. © 1979.
