摘要
A small prototype of the undulator requested for the SLAG X-ray FEL project was designed and manufactured. Experimental results on the magnetic fields obtained with the five period model show that the hybrid scheme using side magnet arrays is very promising. It can provide the specified magnetic field profiles in a small area near the undulator axis, focusing fields are easily adjustable, and the construction is compact.
