摘要
The alternate application of two orthogonal linear polarizations of light to YIG(Si) leads to cyclic elongation and contraction. This effect was observed at liquid-helium temperatures, and is related to the recently reported photoinduced magnetic anisotropy and dichroism. © 1969 The American Institute of Physics.
