摘要
Pseudoisocugenois are phenylpropanoids with a rare 2,5-dioxy-substitution pattern at the phenyl ring. Their biosynthetic pathway up to anethole appears to be identical to that of ordinary phenylpropanoids. The biosynthetic step leading from anethole (l-propenyl-4-methoxy benzene) to pseud oisoeugenol (l-propenyl-2-hydroxy-5-methoxy benzene) was examined using a tissue culture of Pimpinella anisum and presentation of C-13 labelled precursors. It involves migration of the side chain during the introduction of the OH.2-group.
