MULTIPLET DECONVOLUTION AS A CAUSE OF UNSTABLE RESULTS IN GAMMA-RAY SPECTROMETRY FOR INAA

摘要
Gamma-ray spectra obtained in INAA from irradiated certified reference materials were analyzed both with and without multiplet deconvolution, and interpreted in terms of element concentrations afterwards. It is concluded that multiplet deconvolution may lead to unstable results. It is also shown that a robust interpretation algorithm renders multiplet deconvolution superfluous.
