摘要：

The authors suggest that the disordered anions in superionic fluorites do not occupy the cube-centre interstitial positions, which they occupy below the superionic transition temperature. The authors base the suggestion on the idea that interstitials in such positions are destabilised by nearby vacancies and support this idea by lattice-statics calculations. They then combine the suggestion with other recent results to give a tentative picture of the superionic state in fluorites.
