In a recent investigation of the electronic specific heat and magnetic properties of YB2(Cu1-xZnx)3O7-delta, Loram et al. find for values of x for which superconductivity has disappeared, that C(upsilon)/T is constant over a large range of temperature T. This and other features of the system are discussed, based on the assumption that the carriers for T < T(c) form a degenerate gas of spin bipolarons. A discussion is also given of overdoped semiconductors.
