摘要
Pressure dependence of optical absorption spectra was measured for (phthalocyaninato)-nickel hexafluoroarsenate, NiPc(AsF6)(0.5). Under high pressure we found an intramolecular charge transfer from the central metal ion to the macrocycle, that is, from the metal d-band to the macrocycle pi-band. According to the electron-filling process into the cc-band, a metal-insulator transition without accompanying a lattice distortion was observed.
