摘要
Simulation models of sorghum (SorModel) and pearl millet (PmModel) were used to examine the response of both crops to initial soil moisture, seed rate and total precipitation during the growing season, and to assess the feasibility of producing sorghum and pearl millet forage crops in different agroclimatic regions. The hierarchical approach to model-building was applied in such a way that the dynamic models were summarized in regression equations of yield on initial soil moisture, seed rate and total precipitation during the growing season. The equations were developed for different soil types and used to establish management policies for semi-arid areas of Mexico.
