摘要
We derive an expression for the residual resistivity of impurities in metals that incorporates both the Blochwave character of the electron states and backscattering by the host lattice. This expression, which involves the Friedel phase shifts, is closely analogous to a familiar relation for the jellium model, but its derivation is much more general. Calculations of impurities in noble-metal hosts based on our formula are in excellent agreement with the numerical calculations of Coleridge, Holzwarth, and Lee. © 1979 The American Physical Society.
