摘要
The present investigation describes the ontogeny of normal and abnormal stomata for three species of the Araliaceae. The mature stomata are mostly anisocytic, occasionally paracytic, and rarely anomocytic. Several aberrent patterns of stomatal development have been noticed in anisocytic stomata and a few in paracytic ones. The ontogeny of anisocytic and paracytic stomata conforms to the syndetocheilic or mesogenous type, while that of anomocytic is haplocheilic or perigenous. © 1969 OXFORD UNIVERSITY PRESS.
