摘要:
The single photon detection efficiencies of different reflective photocathodes as a part of a multiwire proportional chamber with methane and tetrakis-(dimethylamino)-ethylene (TMAE) have been investigated in the spectral range between 140 and 240 nm. It was shown that for a fast ring imaging Cherenkov detector a gold photocathode with TMAE in the gas is sufficient and nearly as good as a CsI photocathode.
