CATALYSIS OF ENZYME AGGREGATES IN ORGANIC-SOLVENTS - AN ATTEMPT AT EVALUATION OF INTRINSIC ACTIVITY OF PROTEASES IN ETHANOL

摘要
Catalytic activities of alpha-chymotrypsin and subtilisin Carlsberg for transesterification of N-acetyl-L-tyrosine methyl ester in ethanol markedly increased by decreasing the amount of the enzymes in the reaction mixtures. The results were kinetically attributed to changes in K(M) and k(cat) due to formation of smaller enzyme aggregates.
