CAGE STRUCTURE OF C-60 OBSERVED BY FIELD-ION MICROSCOPY

摘要
A field ion microscope has been used to investigate the atomic configuration of C60. The cage structure or soccerball structure, shown by diffraction techniques, has evidentially been made clear in real space. Six hexagonal faces and three pentagonal faces of C60 were identified.
