摘要：

The chemical and antigenic characteristics of extracellular polysaccharides of moulds belonging to the Mortierella isabellina group were determined. The study was used to establish the affinity of the group to either the Mucoraceae or the Mortierellaceae. The extracellular polysaccharides showed antigenic similarity with the Mucoraceae and related families, as they reacted with IgG antibodies raised against EPS from Mucor racemosus. Also, the presence of beta(1-4)-D-glucuronic acid polymers, previously established as characteristic for these families, support classification in this affinity.
