摘要
The physics implications of measurements of parity violation in muonic atoms at a precision of 1-10% are described, and contrasted with the results of measurements of parity violation in cesium at 1%. It is argued that both types of experiment are extremely sensitive to certain types of new physics, such as extra Z bosons with small mixing, leptoquarks, and eq contact terms associated with compositeness, and that they are complementary with the Z-pole observables at LEP and SLC.
