GENERALIZED-MODEL FOR COLLISIONAL EXCHANGE OF SOLUBILIZED MOLECULES IN MICRODISPERSE SYSTEMS

摘要
The exchange of solubilized molecules in microdisperse systems is suggested to occur through successive one-particle hops through fluctuational channels between the droplets during their collisions with temporary merging. The overall transition probability is calculated as a function of one parameter, namely, the product of the hopping frequency and the characteristic lifetime of the connecting channels. The model applies to realistic sticky collisions between droplets that cover the whole range from one extreme case of complete randomization of their contents (so-called fusion-fission) to the other extreme case of one-particle hops. Only these two extreme cases have been treated in the literature.
