摘要
The energies of alpha particles from radioactive sources were measured before and after transmission through thin, self-supporting films. Precise stopping powers thus measured for Be, C, Al, Si, Ni, Ag and Au with alpha energies of 3.183 MeV (148Gd) and 5.486 MeV (241Am) were then used to determine thin film thicknesses. The preferred use of a monoenergetic alpha source such as 148Gd is discussed. © 1979.
