摘要
Sorption of free and some conjugate bile acids on various preparations of lignin, wood, and some other cellulosic materials was studied. For a given lignin there was relatively a small difference between the binding of individual bile acids. For enzymatic lignins the adsorption capacity is indirectly proportional to the sugar residue. The adsorption equilibriumis slowly established, desorption is rapid, but only about 10-20% of the bile acid can be desorbed. Adsorption capacity of powdered wood corresponds roughly to its lignin content. Treatment of wood chips before or lignin after the enzymatic cleavage with a high concentration of alkali metal chlorides or EDTA reduced the adsorption capacity.
