摘要
Chlorinated benzenes and chlorinated phenols were produced in 400-600-degrees-C heterogeneous combustion reactions of trichloroethylene and flyash. A clear temperature trend showing increasing production to 600-degrees-C was observed. Model catalyst mixtures of SiO2/metal oxides were compared with the flyash. Similarities in gas-phase chlorinated benzene products from all of the catalytic materials suggests that their formation is thermal rather than catalytic in nature, however, surface/adsorptive effects appear to play a role. Resemblance between chlorinated phenol products in Fa, CuO and Fe2O3 reactions provides evidence that this formation mechanism is catalytically influenced.
