摘要
Recent reports of nonspecific hydrogen migrations involving large ring transition states prompted an investigation into the relationship between ring size and the facility of hydrogen transfer. Using 2-(1ʹ-octyl)-cyclohexanone as a model compound for reciprocal hydrogen transfer, deuterium labeling confirms that ring size plays a crucial role in determining the ease of hydrogen migration. © 1969, American Chemical Society.
