Studied the validity of an assessment-center approach in predicting management potential and determined the relative value of the components of the program. 94 Ss from lower and middle management positions having above average potential for advancement were used. Results indicate that the approach is valid and that situational tests add to the predictiveness of paper-and-pencil tests. Also demonstrated was greater predictiveness through statistical combination of the program variables, rather than a subjectively derived overall rating.
