The convergent and discriminant validities of the Cornell Job Descriptive Index and the goal-attainment component of L. W. Porter's need-satisfaction measure were evaluated according to the D. T. Campbell and D. W. Fiske (see 34:1) criteria. The coefficient of concordance was suggested as a statistical test of the 4th criterion. The scales demonstrated convergent and discriminant validity.
