FUCHS-SONDHEIMER THEORY AS EXPLANATION OF THE MAGNETORESISTANCE EFFECTS IN MULTILAYERS AU/CO

摘要
The transport properties of (Au1/Co1/Au2/Co2/Au3) magnetic layered structures are analyzed in terms of Camley-Barnas model. The calculated resistivity increases when the magnetizations of the two Co films switch from the parallel to the antiparallel alignment, in agreement with the experimental results. We also extend the MR calculations to (Au/[Co1/Au/Co2/Au]n/Au) multilayers. A fairly good agreement with experimental data is found for n = 2.
