STABILITY OF MULTIPLY-CHARGED CLUSTER AND FULLERENE IONS

摘要
After a short introduction and review of the general properties of multiply-charged cluster ions, recent rather detailed investigations about the production, existence and stability of highly-charged fullerene ions C-60(z+) (up to charge state z = 7) will be summarized including a discussion of i) the mechanism of a novel auto-charge transfer reaction, and ii) the kinetics and energetics of subsequent charge separation reactions. In addition, experimental and theoretical determinations of the dependence of the ionization energy on the charge state z will be presented.
