PREPARATION OF AG2S THIN-FILMS BY CHEMICAL-DEPOSITION AND EXAMINATION OF SOME OF THEIR PHYSICAL-PROPERTIES

摘要
Ag2S thin films were deposited onto microscope glass substrates from a cold aqueous AgNO3 + Na2S2O3 complex solution and a hot solution of thiourea, alkalized to pH 8-11. Films obtained by this method were of high purity, and their thicknesses could be controlled during the deposition process. Physical properties such as transmission spectra, X-ray diffraction spectra and temperature dependence of the resistivity were studied and compared with results obtained for Ag2S samples prepared by other methods.
