ENERGY AND ENERGY-FACTOR OR INFINITE STRAIGHT CHARGED-DISLOCATIONS IN AN ANISOTROPIC PIEZOELECTRIC CRYSTAL

摘要
This paper is concerned with distributions (or bundles) of infinite straight charged-dislocations which are lying parallel to each other in an anisotropic piezoelectric crystal. The method of tensor analysis is used. The compatibility equations for the strain are combined with the Maxwell equations for the electric field, and the constitutive equations for the strain and electric displacement, to lead to the fundamental equations governing the field of stress functions and the electric scalar potential. These equations are solved by the method of Green's functions. The interaction- and self-energies of bundles of dislocations are expressed in terms of Green's functions. As an example, the energy-factors are given for single charged-dislocations in LiNbO3, GaAs, B12GeO20, and ZnO.
