A DNA double-strand affinity cleaving assay reveals clear positive and negative correlations among the DNA cleavage specificities of a series of minor groove binding/cleaving agents: [SalenMn(III)]+, neocarzinostatin, bleomycin:Fe, and methidiumpropyl-EDTA:Fe.
