ACCURATE MASS DETERMINATION OF A HIGH-MOLECULAR-WEIGHT PROTEIN USING ELECTROSPRAY-IONIZATION WITH A MAGNETIC-SECTOR INSTRUMENT

摘要
Accurate mass determination on the 13+ ion of myoglobin, MW 16 951, has been performed with a magnetic sector mass spectrometer equipped with a newly designed electrospray ion source. At a mass resolution of 20 000 a mass deviation of 1 ppm from the expected value has been achieved.
