SURFACE CRYSTALLIZATION OF LEAD TITANATE FROM GLASS ENHANCED BY ULTRASONIC TREATMENT WITH SUSPENSION

摘要
The surface crystallization of PbTiO3 on a glass of composition 30PbO.20BaO.15TiO(2).35B(2)O(3) (in mol%) was enhanced by ultrasonic surface treatment with suspensions. The degree of enhancement was strongly dependent on the suspending media and suspended particles. The greatest effect was observed for an aqueous suspension of PbTiO3, and a dense film of fine grain PbTiO3 was obtained. The effect of ultrasonic treatment was discussed in terms of seeding, pseudo-epitaxy and surface corrosion.
