摘要
Microwave synthesis of a rare [Ru2L3]4+ triple helicate and its interaction with DNA has been demonstrated. Solution of RuCl3 and suspension of L in dry degassed ethylene glycol was used for the study by using microwave energy at a temperature of 225°C. Chromatographic analysis was used to separate the P and M helicates of the racemic mixture of [Ru2L3]4+. A equilibrium dialysis was carried out during the study to investigate the interaction of the racemic mixture of helicate with natural DNA by using calf thymus DNA. Circular dichrosim (CD) determination found the absolute configurations of the P and M helicates. It was observed during the study that the dinuclear helicate can be separated into its P- and M-enantiomers by using DNA-based affinity chromatography.
