Crystallization and corrosion resistance of amorphous FeCuNbSiB

摘要
The influence of metalloid content and thermal treatment on microstructural evolution and corrosion resistance of FeCuNbSiB amorphous alloys with different Si/B ratio was investigated. The crystallization of FeCuNbBSi amorphous alloys is dependent on Si/B content. An increase of the corrosion resistance with the Si content in a 0.1 M H2SO4 solution was observed. The nanocrystallization of alloys, except that with lower Si content, results in an increase of corrosion resistance. (C) 1997 Elsevier Science B.V.
