摘要
A study was conducted to demonstrate the use of nanomaterials for sensing and destroying pesticides. It was demonstrated that significant advancements were made in applying nanomaterials to the development of sensor and biosensor to achieve these objectives. Nanomaterial sensors improved the sensitivity and specificity of analyte due to their to the properties afforded by their small size, their large surface-to-volume ratios, their physicochemical properties, composition, and shape, and their unique target binding characteristics. The properties and the overall structural robustness of nanomaterials made them highly suitable for use in various detection schemes based on diverse transduction modes. The unique surface area and the surface activity of the nanoparticles also played a critical role in the catalytic reactions used to degrade pesticides with the formation of benign products.
