t-Butyldimethylsilyl (TBDMS) ethers have been efficiently and selectively deprotected using silica supported sodium hydrogen sulfate ((NaHSO4SiO2)-Si-.) as a heterogeneous catalyst at room temperature to regenerate the parent alcohols in high yields. (c) 2006 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.
