New evidence revives the old idea that B cells are the principal effectors in rheumatoid arthritis: autoantibodies against a ubiquitous antigen cause joint-specific disease. The resolution of these conflicting hypotheses resides in the joint itself. "(On-Ko-Chi-Shin)-the new idea resides within the old".
