Preliminary results obtained during the electrodeposition of Cobalt-Molybdenum (CoMo) and Cobalt-Molybdenium-Nickel (CoMoNi) alloys in the presence of a homogeneous magnetic field for various orientations of the working electrode surface are reported. The stationary current-potential curves and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) measurements show that for the binary CoMo alloys the magnetic field effect was observed only in a restricted potential region. For the ternary CoMoNi the electrolysis current and the EIS responses are strongly modified by magnetic field in the whole of cathodic potential range. For a horizontal working electrode maintained at a constant potential typical evolution of the stationary current I infinity B-1/3, has been obtained.
