The latest developments in the application of microwave techniques to analytical chemistry are reviewed. Some applications of microwave techniques to sample digestion, solvent extraction, sample drying, the measurement of moisture, analyte desorption and adsorption, sample clean-up, chromogenic reaction, speciation and nebulization of analytical samples are presented.
