摘要
A facile strategy to synthesize highly luminescent, water-soluble, and biocompatible CdTe nanocrystals using a biomolecule tripeptide glutathione (GSH) as a stabilizer was analyzed. The GSH-coated CdTe nanocrystals were covalently coupled to the anti-von Willebrand factor antibody (anti-vWF) for the imaging of human umbilical vein endothelial (HUVE) cells. It was found that the GSH-coated nanocrystals have up to 62% quantum yield and their size-dependent emission ranged from 480 to 650 nm. Fluorescence correlation spectroscopy (FCS) showed that the CdTe nanocrystals possessed a good crystalline structure and excellent luminescence properties. It was also found that the nanocrystals have good water solubility and biocompatibility, and are suitable for cell imaging and biolabeling.
