摘要：

The first total synthesis of the potent cytostatic agent apicularen A is described along with the synthesis of the corresponding C-11-epimers and side chain modified congeners. Growth inhibition experiments with the human melanoma cancer cell line SK-MEL-5 revealed an important role for the unusual N-acyl enamide side chain. (C) 2001 Elsevier Science Ltd.
