摘要
The isotope effects in the chemistry of atmospheric trace compounds were discussed. It was found that isotope effects fractionate the trace gas remaining in the atmosphere and fall within the class of kinetic isotope effects. It was observed that most sink processes caused isotopic changes and the remaining unreacted trace gas gradually acquired a different isotopic composition. The isotopic analysis of 15N and 18O of nitrate was also elaborated.
