A self-penetrated chiral cobalt camphorate coordination polymer with antiferromagnetically coupled paddlewheel clusters

摘要
The chiral coordination polymer [Co-2(D-cmph)(2)(4-bPmP)](n) (1, D-cmph=D-camphorate, 4-bpmp=bis(4-pyridylmethyl)piperazine) exhibits [Co-2(D-cmph)(2)](n) layers with embedded {Co-2(OCO)(4)) equatorial-equatorial bridged paddlewheel clusters. The long-spanning dipyridyl tethering ligands link the layers into a 6-connected 3-D self-penetrated network with 4(4)6(10)8 mab topology, in which shortest 6-membered circuits are penetrated by two others. High thermal stability is observed for the self-penetrated network. Antiferromagnetic coupling (J= 3.9(1) cm(-1)) is observed in 1. (C) 2011 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
