摘要
The development of new tools for manipulating, visualizing, and studying single molecules and their interactions were discussed. The response of individual protein and deoxyribo nucleic acid (DNA) molecules were monitored to pulling and twisting. By this, biophysicists are expected to learn the size of molecular motors, their energy consumption, and rate-limiting transitions in enzymatic cycles. Cohesion forces and cooperative hydrogen bonding contributes to the stability of biomolecules and their native folded configurations. The study of DNA molecules, associated proteins and enzymes found magnetic-tweezer technique to be simple and powerful for analysis purposes.
