(Figure Presented) The biomachinery of rolling-circle amplification relying on protein-aptamer interactions on DNA scaffolds was used to create one-dimensional DNA-protein/DNA-protein-nanoparticle hierarchical assemblies. These conjugates can serve as further templates for the immobilization of gold nanoparticles. © 2008 Wiley-VCH Verlag GmbH & Co. KGaA.
