Trapping of charge carriers in Sr2B5O9Br:Eu2+ under irradiation with UV light

摘要
In this paper we present the observation that Sr2B5O9Br:Eu2+ shows thermoluminescence after illumination with UV photons, even when the photon energy is insufficient to induce band to band transitions. The role of the Eu2+ ions to the trapping process and possible models to explain the observation will be discussed. (C) 1998 Elsevier Science Ltd. All rights reserved.
